About Us

The Home Inspection Training Center was developed in response to todays demanding marketplace. Homes are no longer the simple ranch or cape cod. Homes are larger, more complex and constructed with engineered and green building materials; and buyers expect the home inspector to be knowledgeable.

The success of a home inspector is directly dependent on his or her knowledge of not only proper construction techniques but, their ability to recognize and properly identify defects.

The Home Inspection Training Center provides quality in-depth technical knowledge to new and experienced home inspectors. Our instructors are licensed home inspectors that practice home inspection. Course content is reviewed by staff engineers.

The student will gain valuable skills in the first lesson. lessons provide information on proper construction techniques with an emphasis on defect identification and recognition. It is no longer enough to be versed in standard framing components. The inspector must be able to recognize signs that indicate defects in engineered wood products, green building materials, closed crawl spaces and attics, and foam insulations. From historical homes to current Green Building, our inspectors are skilled and informed.
