Student Testimonials
When I came to the Home Inspection Training Center, I really did not know anything about construction or inspection. When I think back to day one of your training, I cannot believe how much I learned. I have a new outlook on life and the buildings we call home. After two months with my home inspection license, I have left my job as a department store manager, I have time for my family, holidays off, and money to enjoy life again.
I have to admit after working as a Plumber and HVAC installer for 20 years, I really felt that I knew enough to become a home inspector. When NC said I had to take a pre-licensing program, I was not a happy camper. It is not about repairing or installing, it is about inspecting with a full understanding of the systems! Your program filled in the weak spots and taught me how to become an inspector.
As a general contractor and engineer, NC allowed me to take the home inspection exam, and I cannot thank you enough for helping me with that exam. It was tough! Your programs are excellent, procedures for everything! That is exactly what I needed. I can now walk up to a house with confidence. If you want to be a home inspector, you need to be trained by someone who not only loves this job but is great at it.
I am a person who just does not like reading or school. I have to admit I read and studied more in the home inspection training program than in high school. How did I learn so much in such a short time? I know how, this is a great program and you cannot help but be motivated by the Gregorys. It is not about money or pushing students through, it is about teaching and enjoying what you do.
The key is the home inspection school, not random inspections but planned classes and demonstrations. The furnace class was unbelievable. I came in knowing nothing and came out understanding furnaces, all their parts, and how to inspect them. I went home and found that my flame roll out switch had been overridden! I called my service company and they discovered a crack in the heat exchanger of my furnace! Thank you so much!
I had signed up to train with a local home inspector through an online-only education provider. While the trainer may have been a good home inspector, he was clearly not a teacher. He seemed unprepared for my questions and unprepared for someone at my level of experience. After those 2 days, I began to look elsewhere. I called 4 home inspectors in my area, and they all recommended the Gregorys and The Home Inspection Training Center.
